Introduction

The Institute of Personality Development and Customer Relationship Management (IPD – CRM) Nigeria (Member, International Council of Customer Service Organization and World Personality Development Council) is a service oriented; professionally acknowledged regulatory body registered under the Companies and Allied Matters Act 1990. IPD – CRM is also duly registered with Corporate Affairs Commission and fully approved by the Federal Ministry of Education and Federal Ministry of Justice, Nigeria respectively.

Operational Terms
  • Personality Development
    The development of organized pattern of behaviors and attitudes that make a person distinctive. It is an enduring pattern of thoughts, feelings and behaviors that distinguishes individuals from one another. It is becoming a better person of yourself with Integrity, Excellence and Professionalism as your collateral.
    Personality development helps individuals to inspire others to follow him/her as a leader; to live with a positive attitude towards life and reduces stress… Such a winning perception helps individuals navigate through life’s possibilities and opportunities for personal, community, national and or global development.
  • Customer Relationship Management
    The technique of establishing and maintaining a long-term business or social relationship with your customers or relevant people or persons in the society or organization. CUSTOMERS here refer to specific individuals, groups, organizations, Religious or Cultural groups, Government at all levels – Federal, State, Local; Government Agencies, Non–Governmental Organizations, Electorates, Political Parities, Media, Consumers and Users of goods, services and ideas. This customer-focused business model also goes by the names – Relationship Marketing, Real–Time Marketing, One–to–One Marketing and or Customer Intimacy. Irrespective of the names, the idea is the same: Establish relationships with customers / relevant people on an individual basis, and then use the information you gather to treat different customers / people differently with your knowledge of Personality Dimension.
IPD-CRM Objectives

i. To build members with winning personalities and poise: members who will exude positive confidence, inspire trust, portray authority, command respect, project personal power, sociable and personable.
ii. To develop, equip and hone members’ proficiency in the development of unique soft and life skills, necessary for human capacity development and organisational sustainability.
iii. To bridge the gap between personality development and customer relationship management for Organisational and National progress.
iv. To keep members constantly abreast of best practices in the field of personality development and customer relationship management.
v. To equip members with the following abilities and capabilities:
– Impression management capabilities (Dress Sense)
– Influence others positively for higher productivity
– Ability to optimize team performance, narrow gaps and differences
– Ability to understand customer relationship challenges and proffer recovery process
– Project positive confidence in business and social, religious and cultural circles.
– Practice thoughtful manners for personal development and organizational growth
– Manage others more efficiently and delegate tasks more appropriately
vi. Power-up non-verbal skills and optimize effective communication and impression management capabilities.
vii. To examine and license career oriented individuals (Accountant, Journalist, PR Practitioner, Lecturer/Academician, Teacher, Clergy, Politician, Engineer, Banker etc) in becoming a professional PD – CR Manager
viii. To develop and constantly research and create a body of knowledge and innovative solutions that are proactive to the dynamic needs of our members and our areas of influence.
ix. To inculcate high level of professional discipline amongst members in the discharge of their responsibilities in their respective organizations, vocations and careers
x. To formulate and regulate policies that will promote the practice of Personal Development and Customer Relationship Management
xi. To promote standards that will enhance and sustain excellent Customer Relations through the instrumentation of strategic personality development management
xii. To publish Research Works / Books, Newsletters, Pamphlets, Magazines etc in pursuit of professional excellence
xiii. To promote the lofty ideals of IPD – CRM, Nigeria, in the media; print, electronics, social etc to further the stated objectives / professional learning outcomes of the Institute.
xiv. To brand a member with professional image that will complement his or her professional competence

Benefits of Membership

Members shall become professional personality development and customer relationship managers.
Since the institute is an inter-discplinary one and cut across all other professional membership, being a member of IPD-CRM will enhance career growth and performance
For relatively fresh graduate on Associate membership grade, membership of IPD-CRM will expose them to various strategic options in personality dimension and customer relationship management; creating a ready made, employable graduate with winning personalities that meet the expectation of the industry
Provide the opportunities to meet intellectuals, politicians, top civil servants, diplomats, bankers, engineers, religious leaders and cultural ambassadors, and professional people from all walks of life.
Members shall be invited to seminars, workshops, conferences, lectures, etc from time to time.

Mode of Application

Interested Prospective members can obtain the Application Form at the Institute’s Corporate Office & Training Hub:15B Oba Olagbegi Avenue, Old Bodija, Off Oshuntokun Street, Ibadan Oyo State, Nigeria or any of the Institute’s representative offices, nationwide. The application form is N5, 000 (Five Thousand Naira Only).
Application form should be properly filled and submitted with photocopies of the applicant’s credentials to the Regustrar at the corporate office.

MEMBERSHIP GRADES

Become a Member
Graduate Membership

Entry Requirements:
Prospective Graduate Member must be

 Graduate of any Nigerian or foreign universities or higher education who has gone through the course: Poise & Customer Relationship for at least ONE Semester, particularly in the final year. E.g. Successful final year students/graduates of Lead City University, Ibadan, earn the Associate Membership after graduation.

Associate Membership

Entry Requirements:
Prospective Associate Member must be
(i) Holders of BSc., B.A, B.Ed or HND from any recognized higher institution in or outside Nigeria, with not less than two (2) years work experience.
(ii) Members of other professional bodies such as: NIPR, APCON, ICAN, CIBM CIPM, NIMN, ACCA, NIM etc.
(iii) Graduates from Nigerian or foreign Institutions.
(iv) Nos. i, ii, iii, & iv must go through professional development workshop of the institute before Induction.

Full Membership

Entry Requirements:
Prospective Full Member must fulfill the following:
(i) A graduate of five (5) years and above
(ii) A manager or HOD or HOU with not less than Five (5)years of work experience.
(iii) Must possess higher degrees e.g M.Sc, MA, Ph.D or a member of relevant professional bodies
(iv) Politicians at the level of Commissioner, Local Government Chairman, Special Adviser, Party Chief, member of State House of Assembly etc
(v) Must go through Professional Development Workshop of the institute before induction.
(vi) The candidate must have spent four (4) years as an Associate member.

Fellow Membership

Entry requirements:
This is the highest grade of membership.
To qualify for the Fellowship of the Institute, the person must fulfill the following:
(i) A graduate of Ten(10) years and above
(ii) Must have spent five(5) years as a Full member of IPD – CRM
(iii) Top Executives with experience: Chairman, MD, CEO or GM or Director with responsibility for managing Individuals or Corporate Relationship at top management level
(iv) Possess higher degree e.g Ph.D/Professor and or fellow of reputable professional bodies
(v) Politician at the level of Party Chairman, President, Leader, Governor, Senator, House of Representative member, Minister, Director General, Leadership of State House of Assembly etc.
(vi) Religious/Cultural leaders at the level of Senior Pastor, General Overseer, Bishop, Imam, Sheik, Cultural Ambassador etc.

Corporate Membership

Corporate Membership is meant for organizations, Political Parties, Firms, Companies, Religious Organisations and NGOs that are involved in managing human relationships, customer service delivery.
